Proverbs tells us to “train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Our desire is to give the youth the tools to seek God and understand His word.
Fort Worth Youth Ministries
Sunday Morning Confirmation Class, ages 12-17
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Sunday. At the age of 12, a young person is biblically qualified to begin to be discipled to maturity in the Christian faith. Young people have been taught to obey their parents and that God is Almighty. At this stage of their lives they need to know that they will never be good in themselves and that as Jesus taught, apart from Him they can do nothing. A young person needs to know the grace of God: both His mercy to forgive sin and his power by the indwelling Holy Spirit to deliver him or her from a life of sin in the flesh to a life of overcoming victory. The purpose of discipleship is to live as victorious, loving sons and daughters of God, and not to live as fearful servants, always striving, but never joyful and full of peace. Christ in you! The hope (joyful confidence) of glory (mature outward Spirit-led living). Col.1:27
Youth Night, ages 12-18
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday night each month. The activities will vary from meeting to meeting. There will be a time of fun, fellowship and growing in the Lord. Be sure to check the youth calendar for events and activities.
Church is more than just a building. The Church is the body of Christ. We want to open the eyes of the youth to the majesty of Christ, to give them the courage to step out in faith, to grow in the Lord and to share with others what Jesus is to them and how He has affected their lives.
